Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize Nominating Committee Meeting, 3 December 2025

The Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize (LKYWP) 2026 Nominating Committee met on 3 December 2025 to deliberate the nominations received for the 2026 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize. Comprising of eminent water industry and scientific leaders, the Committee undertook the difficult task of reviewing and evaluating the nominations of many high-quality candidates whose names were submitted via the nomination process. Following the meeting, the Nominating Committee will soon be submitting its Recommendation Report to the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize Council, chaired by Mr Heng Swee Keat, Chairman of the Singapore National Research Foundation, for approval.

The winner of the 2026 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize is expected to be unveiled in a media conference in April 2026. Presented in partnership with Temasek Foundation, the winner will officially receive the Prize medallion, a certificate and SGD$300,000 at the Prize Award Ceremony during the official opening of Singapore International Water Week 2026.

About the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize
The Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize (LKYWP) honours outstanding contributions by individuals or organisations towards solving the world’s water challenges by developing or applying innovative technologies, policies or programmes which benefit humanity. This prestigious international award is named after Singapore’s first Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, whose foresight and leadership have enabled Singapore to attain a sustainable water supply.

2026 Water Convention Programme Committee Meeting, 29-30 January 2026

Held from 29 to 30 January 2026, the SIWW2026 Water Convention Programme Committee concluded an intense and rewarding two-day meeting to shape the technical programme for the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2026 Water Convention.

Driven by passion, warmth friendship, spirited debate and a common endeavour, more than 40 global and local water experts from the Committee discussed, debated and reviewed close to 500 abstracts and over 60 workshop proposals submitted through the calls.

Taking place from 15 to 18 June 2026, the SIWW2026 Water Convention promises to be unique and different from past editions, with a high-level keynote session, more workshops covering emerging topics and trends, interspersed with technical sessions comprising of high-quality abstracts, and a poster session, all spread over 4 full days.

As we gear up for SIWW2026, the Water Expo remains the global meeting point for the water community — deepening dialogue, strengthening partnerships, and accelerating solutions for tomorrow's water challenges.
